We keep standard dimensions of heavy-material bars and solid carbide bars readily available in our Clifton Heights, PA warehouse.
We provide rough-turned material with stock sizes of 0.020” to 0.060”, guaranteeing exceptional straightness.
We are capable of providing centerless finished rods with the following tolerances:
- For diameters ranging from 1/8” to 7/8”, the diameter tolerance is +0” / -0.0005”.
- For diameters from 1.00” to 3.00”, the diameter tolerance is +0” / -0.001”.
- The length tolerance is within +/- 0.010”.
All standard lengths between 1” to 20” are available. The standard lengths are: 4”, 4.5”, 6.0”, 8”, 10”, 12”, 16”, 18”, 20”
The standard diameter sizes are : 1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4”, 5/16”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”, 7/8”, 1.0”, 1 1/8”, 1 1/4”, 1 3/8”, 1 1/2”, 1 5/8”, 1 3/4”, 2.0”, 2.5”, 3.0”
High Density Tungsten Alloys Material (Heavy Metal)
We manufacture our heavy metals following ASTM B777-87 standards. The available densities include 17.0g/cc, 17.7g/cc, 18.0g/cc, and 18.50g/cc. Many boring bar manufacturers typically require materials with densities of 17g/cc and 17.7g/cc.
