Tungsten Filled Stem Bars are used instead of conventional stems or lead-filled stems when additional weight is required without changing the overall length of the stem. The bar consists of a top sub with a fish neck and pin thread, a tube that carries the tungsten weight inserts, and a bottom sub with a box connection. An insulated brass conductor core runs through the length of the stem bar, terminating at the required end connections.
Our Tungsten Stem Bars are available in a variety of sizes and lengths.
The density of our tungsten is 17.50 g/cc minimum, which is much denser than stainless steel (7.80), lead material (11.40), or even tungsten carbide (14.50).
We supply ground-finished tungsten cylinders with a very tight tolerance on the diameter and length. The length of our tungsten cylinders ranges from 2.00” to 20”.
Besides tungsten cylinders, we also supply finished wireline stems according to the specifications in your technical drawings.
We offer different wall thicknesses of our 316 stainless steel tubes to meet your needs. We do threading, welding, and machining on these tubes. A variety of connection ways are available.
The length of the wireline stem is 3′, 5′, and 7′.
The length of our tungsten alloy is from 2” to 20”.
The outside tungsten diameter is from 5/8” dia to 5.0” dia, ground finished.
