Tungsten Rhenium
Tungsten Rhenium is a high-performance alloy known for its exceptional strength and heat resistance. Composed primarily of tungsten and rhenium, this alloy is commonly used in aerospace and industrial applications where extreme temperatures and mechanical stress are encountered. Its high melting point, excellent thermal stability, and corrosion resistance make it valuable in applications such as aerospace components, electrical contacts, and thermocouples for temperature measurement.
Tungsten-rhenium alloys consist of tungsten combined with 3%, 5%, 25%, or 26% rhenium, enhancing their ductility and machinability the more rhenium used. These alloys, known for their favorable electrical properties, find extensive applications as materials for high-temperature thermocouples.
